The Council Chamber, built in an expressionist style, has many stucco ornaments in the ceiling area, which have been elaborately restored. Modern LED chandeliers with aspherical lens technology accentuate the ceiling structure and at the same time fulfil the requirements of modern, energy-efficient and dynamically controllable lighting technology. Their subtle appearance allows them to emphasise the ceiling structure without receding into the background.
